So I am just wondering but I come from a state where smoking bans have been put into effect with in the last year and have been modified since being put in effect. I am wondering what others think of it and what other states have that are related to this. I personally don't agree with the somking ban, I believe that businesses should have to right to choose if they want smoking or not. I think that if they are a smoking facility they should have to adhere to higher air quality standards. Like having better circulation systems or better purifiers. I believe it is a person's choice to eat or drink at a restaurant that offers smoking. And businesses should have the right to have smoking because it does increase business and most of these businesses would choose to have smoking if it would increase business. I am just curious as to what everyone else thinks and what eveyone elses experience it with this new law...... Let me know............

In a privately owned business I also believe it should be left up to the owner of the business. If a place permits smoking, a bar for example, they should be required to post a notice to that effect at the entrance. This whole smoking ban PC garbage is getting way out of hand when some communities even go so far as to ban outdoor smoking. It's absurd. I personally know of some truckers who have been ticketed in California for smoking in their truck! The citation was for "smoking in the workplace". This PC crap has gotta stop.

I don't think the government has the right to restrict a non-licensed practice in a private building. They can mess with how alcohol is served, etc., because you have to have a liquor license. Whether or not people smoke in a privately owned area should be out of their hands.

We've ushered it in with all the safety regulations that people serving the public have to heed, though. Add to that the people who work in the establishments can toss a fit claiming their workplace is hazardous.
